Theology Does Matter
Since Theology does matter, here is a great book to help in understanding Theology.

Holiday at the Sea
“Our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea.
We are far too easily pleased.”
We are far too easily pleased.”

What Tribe are you a member of??
I came across this video by Mark Driscoll. This is the into session to the R12 conference. He makes some very good points the two things that stuck with me where.
1. Are we making a point or are we making a difference.
2. What tribe am I in.
here is the matrix he uses, see where you fall.

Humble Orthodoxy
Released this week, this is a very good read!

We don’t get to choose between humility and
orthodoxy. We need both.
Orthodoxy, for the faithful, evokes what’s
cherished and beautiful and eternal. Yet in our day, orthodoxy is too often
wielded like a weapon, used to bludgeon others with differing points of view.
The word has become associated with behavior like argumentative, annoying, and
arrogant.
It’s time for God’s people to demonstrate both
right thinking and right attitudes. We are called to embrace
and defend biblical truth. But that truth includes repeated commands to love
our neighbor, love our enemy, and be clothed in gentleness and respect.
In Humble Orthodoxy, bestselling author Joshua
Harris examines New Testament teachings about the calling of believers to a
love-infused courage that ignores foolish controversies, patiently endures
evil, and champions truth with generosity of spirit. Without this kind of
humility, Harris asserts, we become like the Pharisees—right in our doctrine,
but ultimately destroying the cause of truth with our pride.
